Jane Schluter, Showroom Specialist/PR
Trees are wonderful. The way they offer shade, oxygenize the air, trap carbon, protect and sustain critters of all kinds and humans alike, not to mention how they shimmer with the sunlight and add bursts of color and beauty to the landscape, and so much more. One day, Jane will plant 100 of them. She’ll plant them because the environment matters to her. Much of her time is spent outdoors, hiking and biking and gardening. Here at INTERSOURCE, she’s pleased to see how many natural and sustainable floor covering products are carried as she expertly oversees the showroom and assists the team.
Jane’s employment roots have always been deeply planted in the design industry. She graduated from Miami of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design and soon after began a long and winding career in commercial design. In more recent years, Jane has been a visible presence at International Market Square (IMS), providing customer service in one form or another through the Property Management Group of IMS. Her transition to INTERSOURCE felt completely natural.
Back to trees. It’s said trees have been around for about 370 million years. Homo sapiens, however, only around 200,000. Clearly, humans are the newbies here. And yet, family trees and lineage still matter, especially to Jane, whose parents provided her a unique perspective by thoroughly exploring every branch of theirs. Growing up with a knowledge of her ancestry, Jane garnered a greater appreciation for family—one that can be traced all the way to 1270 AD on her maternal side! A family tree she respects and cherishes and that offers her a different kind of canopy. The kind that includes a husband and two grown children and the perpetual bloom of familial love.
