Miranda Toogood, Project Specialist
There’s great pride to be had in being the first of your family to receive a college degree. It makes everything worth it: the stress of 15-credit semesters, overlapping employment, summer classes, frequent academic late-nighters, and the intimidating mid-year program reviews—where your entire body of work (including fine arts projects, like ceramics and paintings) is evaluated by a handful of professors to discern whether you should carry on with the degree. But carry on Miranda did, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Stout University in 2018.
Back in her hometown of Rochester, Minnesota, there were a lot of happy people celebrating that success. All but one of her family members still reside in Rochester and joyfully welcome her back during her frequent visits, especially her seven nieces and nephews. Little do they know, but she’s helped pave the way toward their future college degrees.
Here at INTERSOURCE, Miranda is able to pave new ways for herself as well, learning to better balance work with play. She loves starting her day at 4:30 AM with a workout at the gym, then supporting INTERSOURCE in her role as Production Specialist within a design community teeming with creativity, only to top each day off with friendship and exploration of her new home-base of Uptown, Minneapolis. There is great pride in that as well.
